About this Session

As competition grows in our ever evolving field, artists continue to find ways to stand out as their own personal brand. There's no cleaner way to do this than with a custom logo. Your logo should feel like an extension of your work, not an image pulled from Google. During this collaborative design experience, you’ll work directly with a Groundplan mentor to develop a personal logo for use across your portfolio, résumé, website, presentation materials, and professional presence. We’ll begin by discussing your discipline, visual preferences, goals, and the qualities you want your identity to communicate. From there, we’ll explore ideas together and develop a design direction that feels personal, versatile, and appropriate for the theatre industry. THIS SERVICE IS A GOOD FIT IF: • You want your professional materials to feel more distinctive and connected • You have tried logo generators or templates but nothing feels personal • You need a visual identity for a portfolio, website, résumé, or presentation • You know what you like but need a designer’s help translating it into a usable concept • Your current logo no longer represents your work or professional direction DURING THE COLLABORATION, WE MAY: • Discuss your goals, influences, personality, and technical discipline This multi-meeting service will pair you with a Groundplan team member in the collaborative design and creation of a personalized emblem that will serve as your centerpiece across your professional materials, websites, and future paperwork. Clients will submit materials in advance (based on a guideline we provide) that includes color palettes and style/vibe inspirations. It starts with a 30 minute consultation to discuss concept. At this meeting, the GP team will present the client with stylistic options to respond to and give directional feedback. After this meeting, your designer gets to work! Within two weeks, and based on scheduling preferences, the client will meeting with their GP designer over Zoom or via email to give feedback on the work in progress. Within one week, the final deliverables are sent to the client. At this point, clients are allowed one additional round of stylistic additional edits. Any edits beyond this one round, or client changes in direction that require re-builds (as defined by our team) may require an additional meeting. Additional meetings will be billed separately at a rate of $140 per additional (hour long) collaborative work session.
